Enlisted in R.M.R., Montreal, P.Q. 18 Sep 42. Completed basic and 2 months training in M.G. unit. T.O.S. A-14 C.I.T.C. 30 Mar 43, and after about 3 weeks advanced Infantry training was placed in Demonstration Platoon and remained in it until going AWL 5 July 43. Returned 4 Nov 43 and was awarded 28 days detention. Now in "A" company awaiting posting to training company. M.F.M 2's show 4 AWL's. Claims he had good reason for last absence because of domestic problems.

Grade 4 education. "M" score denotes definitely superior learning ability. Speaks English fairly well. French is his home language.
Tremblay is ambitious to become Assistant Instructor in Infantry but it is felt that he has not sufficient facility in English language to make a successful N.C.O. in an English speaking unit. He has proved somewhat of a disciplinary problem in the past.
