Assigned to the regiment on June 27, 1941. *Original* (Presumably since his father was a WW1 Officer with the Grenadier Guards.)

Among the first to land in France with the 4th Canadian Armoured Division.

Wounded on September 19, 1944 and died from injuries to the head on September 20, 1944.

Father Gilbert Sutherland M.C. served in the Great War with the Grenadier Guards.

2 Brothers (John and Robert) with the Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve.
