Additional InfoDuring the afternoon of 3 Oct '44 while proceeding on duty delivering supplies to 'B' Troop, 2nd Survey Regiment, R.C.A. the vehicle in which BQMS Watson was riding came under heavy machine gun fire in the region of Isabellasluis, Philippine, Netherlands. From information obtained from G/51501 L/Sgt Fulton, who escaped slightly wounded, it is believed Watson was killed almost instantly. Gunner B/139666 Morrish seriously wounded and died as a result on 15 Oct '44 in Eeklo, Belgium. The vehicle was completely destroyed by fire.
