| Died | Died in road accident On 17 October 1945, Warrant Officer Isaak-Derk accepted a lift from a member of the Royal Air Force. They were travelling from Brussel toward Gent, Belgium. In the vicinity of Aalst, the driver attempted to overtake a truck just before a left-hand bend. As a result, an oncoming civilian vehicle approached, and the vehicles collided. The driver and Armand were seriously injured, while a third passenger in the vehicle sustained only minor injuries. Armand was unconscious and died a few hours after being admitted to a hospital. |
