Hampden P1318 took off Scampton, United Kingdom to attack rail targets between Aachen and Krefeld, Germany. The bomber was hit by German Anti Aircraft (FLAK) and crashed into the North Sea in the area of Zeebrugge, Belgium. Body presumably washed ashore.
