William 'Bill' (as it seems all Canadian's called Bill) earned his nickname 'Fish' because he loved fishing.

Among the first to land in France with the 4th Canadian Armoured Division.

2 Brothers overseas. Rex Crawford survived the war. Flight Sergeant Jack Athelston R/77422 assigned the Air Force on November 25, 1940. Assgined to the 103 Sqdn. Royal Air Force. Awarded the Operational Wings. The Lancaster W4786 was shot down and claimed by Major Gunter Radusch above Denmark and crashed on December 17, 1942 on the farm of Hans Moller in Gejlbjerg. Remembered at Aabenraa Cemtery, Denmark. (credits to Soren Flensted)
