B/17379 Pte Desbiens L. was injured and died on admission to hospital as a result of being struck and knocked down by a truck driven by 305210 Trooper Wallas P.A. 
Cause of death: Compound fracture of skull with gross cerebral injury.

About 1200hrs 27 Mar '45 Pte Desbiens had parked his Army truck at the road side and in crossing the road to get water for the radiator he was struck by a passing Army vehicle and received injuries from which he died.
