
Private Patrice Daigle G/2457 (aged 21), from St. Charles, New Brunswick, Canada, disembarked in France on 29 August 1944 and was posted to the North Shore (New Brunswick) Regiment. On 1 September 1944, he was transferred to the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders of Canada. Just ten days later, he was killed in action near De Panne, Belgium.
The findings of Commonwealth-Adegem's research were submitted to the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. Following their own investigation, the Commission confirmed that Private Daigle was serving with the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders of Canada at the time of his death.
